Mechanical structure of submersible pump

Apr 06, 2023

The submersible pump unit consists of four main parts: a water pump, a submersible motor (including cables), a water delivery pipe, and a control switch. The submersible pump is a single suction multi-stage vertical centrifugal pump; The submersible motor is a closed water filled wet, vertical three-phase squirrel cage asynchronous motor, which is directly connected to the water pump through a claw type or single key barrel coupling; Equipped with three core cables of different specifications; The starting equipment consists of air switches with different capacity levels, self coupling pressure reducing pneumatic actuators, and water pipes made of steel pipes of different diameters, connected by flanges. The high lift electric pump is controlled by a gate valve.

The upper part of the submersible motor shaft is equipped with a labyrinth type sand preventer and two skeleton oil seals assembled in a reverse direction to prevent flowing sand from entering the motor. The submersible motor adopts water lubricated bearings, and the lower part is equipped with rubber pressure regulating film and pressure regulating spring, forming a pressure regulating chamber to regulate pressure changes caused by temperature; The motor winding adopts polyethylene insulation, nylon household sleeve waterproof electromagnetic wire, and the cable connection method is based on the cable joint process. The insulation of the joint is removed and the paint layer is scraped clean, connected separately, welded firmly, and wrapped with a layer of raw rubber. Wrap 2-3 layers of waterproof adhesive tape around it, and wrap 2-3 layers of waterproof adhesive tape or a layer of rubber (bicycle inner tire) with water glue to prevent water leakage.

Each stage of the submersible pump is equipped with a rubber bearing in the guide shell; The impeller is fixed on the pump shaft with a conical sleeve; The guide shell is connected by threads or bolts as a whole. The upper part of the high lift submersible pump is equipped with a check valve to avoid damage to the unit caused by water hammer during shutdown. The motor is sealed with precision stop bolts and the cable outlet is sealed with rubber pads. There is a water injection hole at the upper end of the motor, a drain hole, and a drain hole at the lower part. The lower part of the motor is equipped with upper and lower thrust bearings, with grooves on the thrust bearings for cooling. The stainless steel thrust plate, which is worn against it, bears the axial force of the water pump.
