How To Perform Daily Maintenance On Magnetic Pumps?

Jul 12, 2024

1. Regularly check the magnetic coupling, including checking the alignment of the magnetic coupling, so that the magnetic drive part and the driven part are properly aligned to avoid magnetic detachment or slippage.
2. Regularly check the sealing of the pump to ensure that no leakage occurs. If leakage is found, it is necessary to stop the machine for inspection immediately.
3. Frequently check the running sound, vibration and temperature of the pump to ensure smooth operation. If abnormal noise, vibration or high temperature is found, it should be stopped for inspection immediately. At the same time, keep the outside of the pump clean to prevent dust and impurities from entering the pump. Properly lubricate the parts that need lubrication, but most magnetic pumps are designed without lubrication, and whether lubrication is required depends on the specific model.
4. Regularly check the connection parts of the pump body and the pipeline to ensure that they are firmly fastened. Check whether the inlet and outlet pipes are blocked, leaking or other abnormal conditions.

5. According to the usage and manufacturer's recommendations, regularly replace wearing parts such as bearings, seals, etc. to prevent failures caused by aging of parts.
6. Regularly check the running current and temperature of the motor to ensure that the motor operates within the normal range to prevent overload or overheating. For conveying high viscosity or easy crystallization liquids, flush the system regularly to prevent the accumulation of materials in the pipeline and pump body from affecting the normal operation of the pump.
7. Establish an operation record, record each maintenance, inspection and failure in detail, as a reference for subsequent maintenance and overhaul.
Special precautions: Before starting the magnetic pump, check whether the pump and pipeline system are full of liquid to avoid damage caused by idling. The magnetic pump should always keep liquid in the pump during operation. Dry operation will cause damage to the pump's sliding bearings and magnetic couplings.
After shutdown, the pump should be inspected and necessary maintenance should be carried out, especially before long-term shutdown, it should be fully cleaned and lubricated to prevent corrosion and component adhesion.
